3D Printing

3d Printing is where Niagara Statues started. Like 3d printing, we keep adding layers to our business as we go. We 3d print a variety of aesthetic or functional items from a variety of materials using FDM 3D printing technology, and outsource for necessary resin parts at this time. Our business is focused especially on statuary, but we do offer design services and other products – when 3d printed, mainly for logos, signage, keychains. We also design with CAD software for CNC machining, laser/plasma cutting, Cricut machines and more in a variety of file formats. We have designed functional gears for car doors, replacement knobs for vintage audio equipment, prototyped electronics cases, prosthetics for water fowl...there is just so much to make, and so many niche items that are hard to find as our ideas and needs outpace product availability in normal supply chains...here at Niagara Statues, making it properly is our passion. Niagara Statues ships globally.

Niagara Statues also offers numerous downloadable files for other 3d printers here at  https://cults3d.com/en/users/A_E_S_T_H_E_T_I_C/creations

Concrete Statues

Here at Niagara Statues, we create concrete statuary with an eye for detail, and a preference for realistic items, especially museum replicas and small animals. As a new business, we are continually growing our product library, but we already have a variety of items to choose from, and will also take commissions.

Our concrete items are made from a variety of mixes, based on what is most suitable for that specific item in order to find the ideal amount of detail while also maintaining longevity. Many of our concrete items come out with a finish similar in smoothness to plaster, but they can remain outside after our painting and sealing processes with reapplication of sealant every 3 years in our climate in Niagara, we will also offer painting and sealing as a service (including on location for larger statues that present difficulty transporting).

Moldmaking

Latex and silicone are the rubbers we currently work with at Niagara Statues.

Latex is a perfect low cost solution for Concrete casting, lasting a hundred or many hundreds of casts when properly stored and taken care of. It is a naturally derived resource, and allows concrete artisans to pour in a concrete mixture, and later stretch the material around a set concrete statue easily to demold and create their own faithful duplicates of statuary, architectural elements, and so much more.

Silicone is the type of compound, but there are hundreds of varieties for all types of applications. Candlemaking, plaster casting, bath bombs, soaps, resins, food products - so many uses. Niagara Statues will assist you in making your own silicone molds so you don't need to deal with the viscous mess, vacuum degasser, and choosing which silicone is best. It is not ideal for concrete (latex and urethane are preferable).

3D printed molds can be designed from a digital image and used to cast items like simple planters, coasters, rubber stamps. The lifespan of a 3d printed mold is much shorter than rubbers, but it is a quick and inexpensive solution to a prototype or single-use casting. We also use naturally derived and renewable plastics (PLA+) for these 3d printed molds.

Plaster molds can cast and used to produce a shaped casting from rubbers for a variety of applications. They can also be used for ceramics applications.

For all our molds, we can use original models provided by customers, or we can create the original by either clay sculpture or 3d modeling and printing in the production of molds for use in duplicate casting applications.
